Local food and local farmers are critical to our food supply. Stop plowing under our scarce agricultural land to build and expand 400 series highways;

 

Recent provincial planning changes, such as Places to Grow, states the goals of the Ontario government are to focus future growth in existing urban areas, emphasize public transit, protect agricultural land, natural heritage and source water lands.  Extending 400 series highways such as the 407 east will fuel sprawl not control it;

 

We need to invest in dramatic improvements in public transit in Southern Ontario not build more 400 series highways that will just increase air pollution and encourage people to drive;

 

The Greenbelt needs to be protected not cut into pieces by extensions to 400 series highways.

The Premier of Ontario and the following Ministers need to hear your voice on this issue:
